Pamela Newman has been an invaluable member of the Mission Society since 2018, serving on our Board of Directors and as a vital partner in our work throughout New York City. With her help, we have been able to build strong foundations for the students and families that participate in our programs, and ensure that our in-depth academic, social, and emotional support can continue well into the future. We’re so grateful to Pamela for her generosity and service, and the compassion that she has poured into our organization.
As Pamela steps down from our Board of Directors, we wanted to take a moment to honor her for her extraordinary contributions, and share a few reflections from members of our community on the lasting impression she is leaving on the Mission Society:
In addition to dedicating her life to helping others, Pamela has had an accomplished career. She is Founder, President, and CEO of PJN Strategies, a boutique strategic consulting firm. She has also been part of various prestigious organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations, The Economic Club of NY, the Financial Women’s Association of New York, and has been recognized for her talent and service with numerous awards, including the Business Insurance Women to Watch Inspiration Award, the John Cabot University Presidential Medal for Leadership in Business, and the New York Center for Living’s Humanitarian Award.
We hope you will join us in celebrating Pamela, her incredible career, and the time and dedication she has put into our organization. From all of us at the Mission Society, thank you, Pamela, for helping us bring enriching educational opportunities to young people across our city.
