HVA is getting out there and doing great things!

Updated: Mar 19, 2020

The Power Academy staff and volunteers enjoy taking students on field trips to empower them and introduce them to new opportunities. This summer we took students of HVA around New York City and introduced them to exciting activities. For instance, the students visited the South Street Seaport Museum to learn what it takes to be apart of a crew on a ship.

The Power Academy also took the HVA students on a field trip to the Whitney Museum where they participated in a guided tour and scavenger hunt prepared by our education department.

HVA students also went to Pier 25 for games of Mini Golf!

But that's not all that the students visited. They were even able to scale rock climbing walls at the Cliffs DUMBO and a guided tour of the Socrates Sculpture Park.
