This winter, the Mission Society is focusing on strengthening our community through meaningful connections. Our dedicated staff are more than educators—they are mentors, cheerleaders, and inspirational guides who bring vibrant, positive energy to every classroom. They form genuine bonds with students and show up every day with an unwavering commitment to serve.
Our staff are often the steady presence that our students rely on, offering guidance, finding essential resources for families, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where students feel seen and supported. As Board Member Hannah Choi Granade so eloquently put it:
"Educators are such a tremendous resource for students. They are integrated into their lives, know who they are, and can help see the potential in them— building resilience and confidence, and empowering students to succeed in whatever they choose to pursue."
Our educator Wendy is an incredible example of these efforts, serving each day as a guiding force for our high school seniors' success. She has made it her mission to support students through their college and financial aid application journeys, paving the way for their bright futures. Then there's Jeffrey, our behavior and family engagement specialist. He's spearheading our middle school youth council and parent committee, discovering creative ways to involve our Mission families and encourage their participation.
In a world where many of our young people lack the community and connection they deserve, the Mission Society is a place where they can thrive, learn, and grow. Your support today will ensure that we can continue to connect students with the educators that champion them and open up the doors to life-changing opportunities. Please consider making a gift to help us continue building a brighter, stronger community together.
