LEVEL UP
The Mission Society’s Level Up program serves over-age and under-credited students across seven transfer public high schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Level Up addresses the education opportunity gap experienced in under-resourced communities, and alleviates barriers to high school graduation, attending college, and finding employment.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
In coordination with classroom and administrative staff, the Mission Society provides tutoring and Regents preparation support, encourages student attendance through direct outreach, and conducts home visits to prevent learning loss.
CAREER EXPLORATION
& READINESS
Each year, we facilitate paid internships so students can see what opportunities are available to them post-graduation. Additionally, we offer trainings to help young people build vital skills and boost their confidence around joining the workforce.
COLLEGE ACCESS
We actively support the pursuit of post-secondary education and increase college access by organizing college tours, as well as helping students navigate prerequisites, applications, and financial aid processes.
COUNSELING & SUPPORT
Social Workers provide weekly counseling hours and share referrals to critical services to address the important issues that impact students’ emotional health. We also create social groups, sports teams, and service learning programs to help students strengthen their emotional well-being.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We partner with local organizations and companies to help students develop strong leadership skills through volunteer and mentorship experiences.
